Commissioning Checklist

Before the Visit

  1. Verify installation is complete
  2. Verify the Sticker Map is complete and will be available onsite during the commissioning visit
  3. Verify gateways are connected and online (contact support@siteworx.io to verify; Certified Resellers can use the online connectivity tool)
  4. Speak to the end-user about naming conventions - building name(s), work area names, aisle names, etc. and make detailed notes on the floorplan
  5. If possible, request a clean work surface at the site - preferably a conference room with a large, open table
  6. Speak to the SiteWorx Admin to make sure they've successfully logged in to SiteWorx for the first time
    1. If possible, request that they approve an account for your use during installation, noting that it can be deleted afterwards. Follow the Create an Account procedure
  7. Create a Mapfile for each building and/or floor of a building at the site
    1. Save often
IdeaWe recommend using the following filename structure: YYYYMMDD HHMM OrgName - AreaName - [summary of changes].map
    2. Add facility details (Map > Site Configuration)
      1. Complete the General section and the Date/Time Settings section
    3. Add the background image (and clip path, for Certified Resellers)

During the Visit

  1. Obtain the sticker map and set up in an open area; open the pre-saved mapfile
  2. Create Zones
    1. Typically, create one Zone for each gateway that will be added later on
    2. Zone names can match gateway names if desired. Zone Names will not appear in SiteWorx
    3. We recommend commissioning lighting settings of 100% Active, 100% Inactive, and 1 minute Timeout
      1. This keeps all fixtures at 100% ON with no dimming, preventing any lighting safety issues before SiteWorx goes live
  3. Add Nodes:
    1. Lighting Devices
    2. Keypads
    3. SiteWorx Sense Devices:
      1. SWN-WIO
      2. SWN-TRH
      3. SWN-CRD
      4. SWN-RCP
  4. Add Gateways
  5. Sync Devices
  6. Troubleshoot any issues, referencing applicable articles
  7. Repeat the process for any additional Areas (maps) at the Site

After the Visit

  1. Add initial Groups
  2. Email the .map mapfile(s) to siteworxops@siteworx.io for upload. Please include the Subscription Number (SUB-XXXXX)
IdeaNote: This step activates the subscription term, and will initiate billing within 24hrs
  3. Once live, and assuming the Admin approved your access:
    1. Ensure all names are correct (Org, Site, Area, Groups, Devices)
    2. Apply Lighting Settings (Active, Inactive, Setback)
    3. Apply Advanced Lighting Settings
      1. Coordinated Control
      2. Scenes and Keypads
      3. Daylight Harvesting
    4. Create Reporting Tags
  4. Complete a training session with all users
    1. We recommend having users create accounts ahead of time (try sending them the article Create a User Account)
