Sync the Map

Sync the Map

Overview

A "sync" action must be performed any time you change the map file by adding fixtures, zones, or networks. Otherwise, the map file will be up-to-date, but the settings in use by the fixtures in the facility will still reflect old settings.

Info
Commissioner will warn the user when a sync is required by denoting a device with a red exclamation point status mark.

Workflow

  1. Connect the USB Wireless Adapter to your computer, then walk below the device(s) you want to sync
  2. Click Sync Map and specify which Fixture(s), Zone, or Network to sync
    1. Select Use USB Wireless Adapter only, for nearly all cases

  3. As needed, to sync all devices, move around in the facility and run the sync wizard multiple times
Alert
Syncing all fixtures may not succeed on the first attempt. If any fixtures still appear with red exclamation status icons, change your physical position in the room and try again.
