Commission a Keypad


Before a keypad will work with SiteWorx, it must be added to a Mapfile and commissioned to a gateway. This process is completed by installers or a commissioning agent using the Commissioner software program in combination with a USB wireless adapter.   1. Open Commissioner
  2. Click Map > Add SiteWorx Keypad
  3. Select a Commissioning Method
    1. Discover wirelessly - define settings and add the keypad to the map, and sync (wirelessly program) now. Requires a connected DLUSB and the keypad must be powered and within range
    2. Enter a serial number - define settings and add the keypad to the map, and sync (wirelessly program) later



  4. Add the keypad
    1. For addition via wireless discovery:
      1. If the device is new, leave as Factory Default Network
      2. If uncertain, click click Scan for Networks at the bottom left, then click Discover for each available network until you find the device.
        1. After the discovery process is complete, the detected keypad(s) will appear in the menu. Click once on each keypad to find the target one. A few seconds after selection, the selected keypad will start blinking



    2. For addition via serial number:
      1. Select the device's current network (all new devices will be on FDN)
      2. Enter the device's serial number from the sticker book



  5. Click Next
  6. Enter a logical name for the keypad
  7. Sync the Keypad:
    1. If using the wireless method, click Sync
    2. If entering a serial number, sync the device later on
