Saved Settings Overview
The Saved Settings feature in SiteWorx Tune allows users to create and store custom lighting configurations, enabling users to quickly switch between different operational modes without losing previous settings.
Facility managers may find this tool useful to temporarily switch from the standard settings designed to maximize energy savings to alternate settings optimized for inventory audits, cleaning or maintenance. Likewise sports arenas and convention centers may have events that require detailed settings beyond what is usually accomplished using
keypad scenes.
How It Works
Each Area is organized into specific Groups, which are visually color-coded on your facility map for easy identification. You can choose to configure and save settings for the entire Area or drill down to a specific child group.
Select Parent Group
The group selected on the Settings tab is the parent group of the Saved Settings Profile. To select a group, click the name of the group in the Setting tab. The currently selected group is indicated by the blue border.
The parent of all groups in the Area is listed at the top of the Setting tab. For example when the Production Warehouse group is selected, a new Saved Settings Profile would include all lights in the Area .
If the Loading Docks group is selected, a new Saved Settings Profile would include lights in the Loading Docks parent group as well as the North Dock and South Dock child groups.
Create a Saved Settings Profile
Once your groups are configured exactly how you want them, you can capture that state as a reusable profile:
- Navigate to the Saved tab in the sidebar.
- Click the green Save Profile button.
- In the Save Profile window, enter a descriptive name (e.g., "Normal Operation" or "Inventory & Inspection").
- Review the summary table to ensure all active, inactive, and setback levels are correct for each group.
- Click Confirm to save the profile.
Manage Your Saved Settings Profiles
All created profiles appear in a list within the Saved tab. From here, you have full control over your stored configurations:
- Apply a Profile: Hover over a saved profile name and click the green Apply Profile text that appears. This will immediately update the lighting settings for all groups included in that profile.
- Rename a Profile: Click the Pencil icon next to any profile name to edit it.
- Delete a Profile: Click the Red X icon to permanently remove a profile from the list.
Best Practices
- Specific vs. General: Create a "Normal Operation" profile for the entire map as a baseline, and then create smaller, group-specific profiles for specialized tasks in certain areas.
- Detailed Naming: Provide specific names so so that Saved Settings Profiles can be easily located and understood.
- Inherited Settings: When saving a profile for a parent group, pay attention to the Inherited tag in the summary window to see how settings will cascade down to smaller child groups.
- Color Coding: Use the legend at the bottom of the map to quickly identify which physical areas correspond to specific groups.
