By default, when you add a fixture or move a fixture, that fixtures snaps to the closest vertex on map grid.
You can toggle the grid on and off, as desired.
When working with a large map file, to center the grid on a sensor/fixture, right-click on a sensor/fixture in the sensor/fixture tab and select Center on Fixture.
