Status Indicator Behavior of Lighting Controls Sensors

Lighting Controls Sensors

For SCN-I/S/R and DLA-I/S/R/E/LLE/M sensors, the DLA will display a blink pattern once every 30 seconds.  This is due to the DLA being designed for lower mounting heights and office-type applications where a frequent blink pattern would be a nuisance.

 Red LED

  1. 1st second every 30 seconds
    1. Single blink: Normal operation, network connected
    2. Double blink: Normal operation, no network
    3. Fast blink: Temperature Throttling
  2. 2nd second every 30 seconds
    1. Single blink: Active State
    2. No blink: Inactive State
  3. Remaining seconds are Off

Blue LED

  1. Double blink: Unable to talk to one of the DALI fixtures for more than 20 seconds.
  2. Annoyingly fast blink: Over Temperature Shutdown

Both LEDs

  1. Constant Alternating: Fixture ID mode

No LEDs blinking for longer than 30 seconds

  1. Did you watch the sensor for at least 30 seconds?
  2. Is the sensor wired properly and receiving power?
