Overview
This article is intended for advanced installers and outlines an expedited pathway to create Coordinated Controls and Trigger Groups in bulk. This enables installers to quickly create Trigger Groups in Commissioner that will be uploaded to SiteWorx as part of the standard deployment process.
Trigger Node Groups
Use this feature to create, view, and modify a group of nodes that should act as a Trigger Group to control another load, like a relay or group of lights (coordinated nodes).
Create a Trigger Node Group
- Select the target nodes that should be part of the Trigger Group
- Navigate to Edit > Coordinated Control > Create Trigger Node List

- Enter a Name for the group of trigger nodes
- Enter the Trigger Threshold
- For example, the group should be triggered when [any X number of nodes] detect occupancy
View a Trigger Node Group
Navigate to Edit > Coordinated Control > Select Trigger Node List, then click on the target List. The nodes in this trigger group will be selected.
Delete a Trigger Node Group
Navigate to Edit > Coordinated Control > Delete Trigger Node List, then select the group(s) you'd like to delete. Lists cannot be edited; instead, delete the old list and create a new one.
Coordination Nodes
Use this feature to create, view, and modify a group of nodes that should be triggered by a group of Trigger Nodes. This group of coordinated nodes will move to their Active state when the trigger group is activated.
Create a Coordination Node Group
- Select the target nodes that should be part of the Coordination Group
- Navigate to Edit > Coordinated Control > Create Trigger Node List

- Enter a Name for the group of coordinated nodes
View a Coordination Node Group
Navigate to Edit > Coordinated Control > Select Coordination Node List, then click on the target List. The nodes in this coordination group will be highlighted.
Delete a Coordination Node Group
Navigate to Edit > Coordinated Control > Delete Coordination Node List, then select the group(s) you'd like to delete. Lists cannot be edited; instead, delete the old list and create a new one.
Coordinated Control
After creating the desired Trigger Node and Coordination Node Groups (lists), use this feature to tie them together. Tools in this section can also be used to view and modify existing coordinated controls.
Create a New Coordinated Control
- Navigate to Edit > Coordinated Control > Create Coordinated Control

- Name the new Coordinated Control
- Select one or more Trigger Groups that should activate this coordination
- For most Coordinated Controls, one Trigger Group is appropriate. The advanced logic associated with multiple Trigger Groups are typically used for Load Controls, but the option is available for Coordinated Controls as well.
- Select whether the coordinated control should be activated by Any one of the Trigger Groups, or if All Trigger Groups must be triggered before the coordinated control is activated
- Select the Coordinated Group that should be triggered
- Specify whether the control is activating Lighting Nodes or a Load Control
- If activating a load control, specify whether to open (FALSE) or close (TRUE) the relay device and whether the condition is based on occupancy (default) or vacancy (checkbox)
- Add an additional timeout beyond the Inactive Timeout of the Trigger Nodes, if applicable
View/Edit a Coordinated Control
Navigate to Edit > Coordinated Control > Edit Coordinated Control, then select the control you'd like to view/modify.
Delete a Coordinated Control
Navigate to Edit > Coordinated Control > Delete Coordinated Control, then select the control you'd like to delete.
