Additional driver installation is not required.
However, a security issue may prevent Commissioner from communicating with the USB denoted by the error message below:
Resolve System Extension Blocked Error
If you receive the error message above, try following the steps below to resolve:
- Click the Apple menu and then select System Preferences
- Click Security & Privacy

- At the bottom of the dialog, you may see a message noting System software from developer '...' was blocked from loading.
- If you see this message, click Allow. Stop here, the problem should be resolved.
- If you do not see this message, restart your computer and follow these instructions again.
- If Allow button still doesn't appear, continue to Uninstall the System Extension Files below.
Uninstall the System Extension Files
Only follow the instructions below if you have a non-M1 Mac and the instructions above were unsuccessful.
- Close Commissioner
- Go to Finder, select the Go menu, then Go To Folder, then enter: /System/Library/Extensions

- Look for a file called SiLabsUSBDriver.kext. If you have SiLabsUSBDriver.kext and/or SiLabsUSBDriver64.kext, these are old drivers. Delete them by dragging them into the Trash.
- Close the dialog
- Go to Finder, select the Go menu, then Go To Folder, then enter: /Library/Extensions (Note, this is a different folder than in Step 3)
- Drag SiLabsUSBDriver.kext into the Trash to delete the driver

- Uninstall Commisioner and related files by dragging Commissioner from the Applications folder into the Trash
- Download and re-install Commissioner. The program should ask about installing the drivers for the USB wireless adapter. Click Yes and the new drivers will be will be installed into /Library/Extensions
- Immediately perform the Allow system software from new developer steps listed above, in Resolve System Extension Blocked Error.
