Resolving USB Wireless Adapter ("Telegesis stick") Errors

The drivers for the DLUSB Wireless Adapter are included with the Commissioner installation package. Commissioner can be downloaded here.

Additional Technical Information

Issues with USB Wireless Adapter drivers on Windows are typically associated with Windows automatically installing incorrect drivers.  To prevent this from occurring on Windows, do not connect the DLUSB until after Commissioner is installed. To resolve, the correct drivers will need to be manually assigned per the step outlined in the Install Commissioner article.

Issues with DLUSB Wireless Adapter on MacOS are typically one of two possibilities:
  1. If the Mac is newer than 2020 with the M1 chip, an additional driver needs to be installed.  Commissioner prompts the user to install the driver but if the prompt is missed then the driver will need to be installed manually.
  2. For Macs older than 2020, the issue is often due to MacOS blocking software.  To resolve, the you will need to Allow system software.
For reference, when you download and install the Commissioner software, the drivers are automatically installed in the below locations:

MacOS

/Library/Extensions
